Magic Card Game

Magic Card Game

Looking to buy Magic the Gathering cards? Magic The Gathering is one of those games that has been played by just about every type of card or board game enthusiast. All you have to do is ask around and you will find friends that have either played before or still play to this very day. It is a marvelous game and has a lot of intricacies that even I, a veteran player, have not completely mastered yet.

This will not be a complete review of the Magic card game, but it will be a basic discussion for those who may be interested but are not sure if this game is for you. Let me start out by saying that you chosen an excellent game to look into and play. It may be a slight bit difficult to start out playing if you have not played any other games in this genre, but the magic card game is a great game to start with.

You only need 2 players to play and can play with as many as you can find (though it does get slow when you have more than 6 players). Magic is the type of game that you only need $10 to buy a starter pack and you can start playing, so for 2 people, a $20 investment to start playing is excellent! The other nice part about this game is that if you really get into it, you can spend as little or as much as you would like to increase your army. There are some more simplistic combinations that cost a great deal of money and then there are tried and true combos that can be had by everyone.

Each player has their own deck of cards and start out with 20 life. The object of the game is to reduce the other player(s) life to 0. This seems pretty straight-forward but with dozens of sets, you are not sure exactly what cards your opponent will have. I once watched a deck that added massive amounts of health to the owners health pool (yes, you can go above 20) so when it was time for him to take damage, he needed a massive amount to be destroyed (over 100 life, that game took forever).

I highly recommend the magic card game for those that can follow simple rules but also like to fancy things up with complicated combos that require a little bit of thinking to "resolve" (Magic terminology).
